The Gay8 Festival is a Hispanic diversity driven cultural arts, human rights, and entertainment community festival. Now in its 3rd successful year, the festival takes place annually in the historic and culturally enriching "Little Havana" neighborhood of Miami. With activations such as a "Pa'lante Awards" event designed to honor community heros, and cultural arts events such as the "Tertulia" where spoken word and perfomance art are exhibited; a showcase of community films; a two-day human rights symposium; live music and dance parties, and business enhancement opportunities to engage with local shop owners and street vendors; there is something for everyone! Gay8 is designed to bring people from all racial, ethnic, religious, cultural, sexual and gender identities together to honor and celebrate our uniqueness. The event strives to build a lasting bridge that will bring solidarity to our communities and forge a union that will unite us all for generations to come.
